Five years of motion work built into a broadcast-ready system that ran across YouTube, Twitch, and social. Touching on OwnersBox and every brand that came through the door.
Motion for sports content moves fast. Shows go live on tight timelines, and producers need to make changes without going back to design. The system must hold up whether it features the OwnersBox brand or a Budweiser sponsorship slot. Building something that could consistently do all of this was the real project.
The work began with a simple question: what does this actually need to do? I met with the OwnersBox team and outlined the essentials before a single frame was animated. We listed intros, outros, transitions, lower thirds, mid-roll screens, overlays, social frames, and logo animations. Once we understood the full scope, I could create a visual concept that became the foundation for everything else. One base system. Everything is derived from it.

The template side was just as important as the design side. Most of these templates were built to be fully editable. Producers and editors could swap names, update scores, drop in sponsor assets, and keep moving without waiting on me. That's not a compromise; that's the point. A motion system that only works when the designer is present isn't a system at all.
From there, the work spread. Gate14, FanDuel, Lines at Lunch, Cherry Pickin, Budweiser, FanDuel, Fantasy Pros, Pikkit, and Bet99 each had its own brief, tone, and version of the system tailored to fit. Some were full broadcast packages. Some were single animated openers that needed to convey a complete brand in ten seconds. All of them had to look like they belonged.

Over five years, that system drove over 20 M engagements across social and web channels and surpassed 5 M views across the YouTube ecosystem. The numbers matter, but what I'm proudest of is that the system kept running long after it was handed off.
